Inspired by Union Station, this graphic celebrates its railroad history.
Vibrant abstract mural on a dark blue wall with red, yellow, and blue geometric shapes inside a modern interior gallery or lobby.

Crowne Plaza Hotel at Historic Union Station

The entrance to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Historic Union Station sets the tone for every guest’s experience. Working in collaboration with the interior designer, I created a large-scale environmental graphic inspired by the architecture, history, and energy of Indianapolis’ iconic Union Station.

Rather than illustrating the station literally, the design abstracts its structural forms, rail lines, and industrial character into a layered composition of bold color, texture, and geometry. The result is a contemporary mural that celebrates the building’s railroad heritage while complementing the hotel’s modern interior.

This project demonstrates how environmental graphics can transform a space, reinforce a sense of place, and create a memorable first impression through storytelling and design.
